Bentley Halfbreds – Flock History
Bentley Halfbred ewes are bred to be an excellent recipient ewe or commercial ewe, for high health flocks. All Bentley Halfbred females are MV Accredited. They are born in March/April and not lambed as ewe lambs. Therefore they are ready to be used as recipients or tupped for early lambing the following year.
We have used top performance recorded Border Leicester genetics to cross over our Hybrid ewe lambs. Therefore the Bentley Halfbred combines the growth and conformation of the Hybrid with the capacity, wide pelvis, easy lambing, mothering ability and tremendous milking ability of the Border Leicester. This makes her the ideal recipient ewe for early lambing pedigree flocks.
